The Mungu Feni Foundation has officially launched the third cohort of its Garment Cutting and Tailoring Training Program, an initiative aimed at empowering orphans, teenage mothers, and widows in Arua District through practical vocational skills.

Speaking at the launch, the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Mr. Feni Benard, underscored the importance of skilling as a key driver of personal growth, community transformation, and national development.

“Equipping individuals with practical skills not only fosters self-reliance and entrepreneurship but also plays a crucial role in reducing unemployment and driving Uganda’s economic growth,” Mr. Feni noted.

The annual training program, now in its third cycle, provides 100 beneficiaries from vulnerable backgrounds with hands-on expertise in garment cutting and tailoring.

The initiative is designed to help participants achieve financial independence while contributing to broader social and economic transformation within their communities.

Through projects like this, the Mungu Feni Foundation continues to champion sustainable development by empowering marginalized populations and promoting inclusive growth.

For the latest cohort of trainees, the program offers more than just technical training—it represents a pathway to hope, dignity, and a brighter future.
